Description As a Instructional Designer, you will play a
critical role in influencing the future of product training in a
large Government organization. In this role, you will be passionate
about supporting Agency product managers and product teams to
create and deliver trainings that exceed expectations! You will
work with the customer and internal SMEs to identify training needs
and to define training plans. You will create training
documentation and deliver training via virtual and classroom
settings. You will create video trainings and support the Agency
Product leads with continuous skills development and improvement.
You will provide instructional design and eLearning development
expertise, as well as highly skilled technical writing capability
(online and face-to-face courseware development).If this sounds

- Apply sound instructional design principles and a user centric
approach to the design and development of all deliverables
- Lead the continued development of the SUM and the SDD
- Develop screen recorded explainer videos using established
templates and approach
- Continue to develop and update existing eLearning modules using
Storyline 360, including practices/demos, test question
maintenance, publishing to Review 360 and LMS adherence
- Prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous deadlines
- Apply agile methodology approach to all design, development,
and testing efforts
- Develop new eLearning courses, as needed
- Assist in the development of onboarding artifacts, as
neededFOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS (Basic Qualifications)
- BA in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related;
Master's Degree preferred
- 5+ years Instructional Design experience
- 5+ years of experience using MS Office to write technical
documentation, specifically software user manuals and software
design manuals
- 5+ years designing, recording, editing, and narrating technical
explainer videos with TechSmith Camtasia
- 5+ years direct experience designing and developing eLearning
courses with Articulate Storyline 360
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract
requirement. (DO NOT REMOVE)*** Selected candidate must reside
within two (2) hours of SSA Headquarters in Woodlawn, MD ***
Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site at least 2 days
