Development, and WindHQ. What The Role Entails CloudHQ is seeking
an experienced Building Technician to support the maintenance of
one of our data centers ensuring the highest standard of customer
service, and overall client satisfaction while aligning well with
our company's core values. This Manassas, VA-based opportunity will
be a hands-on role and will report to the Electrical or Mechanical
Manager. We desire an enthusiastic professional with a proven track
record of blending technical expertise with exceptional customer
care. What You Will Get To Do Operate and monitor critical Data
Center Systems (UPS, PDU, Diesel Generators, ATS equipment,
Building Controls, Chillers, CRAHs, etc.) Assist with minor
building repairs including, but not limited to, carpentry and
painting, installing door hardware, changing light bulbs, changing
filters, cleaning coils and equipment. Ensure all work performed
meets required safety codes Perform assigned building systems
preventive maintenance. Report identified building problems to the
Electrical / Mechanical Manager Assist with day-to-day building
operations Investigate alarm sequences (BMS/EPMS/Security) Inspect
premises on daily basis. Remove all debris, clean walkways and
other areas as necessary to maintain interior and exterior
appearance of building as required Aid and assist with special
events and on-going projects Respond to safety and emergency
situations and maintain a safe and secure work environment Maintain
all tools, parts, and supplies in an organized manner. Inform the
Electrical / Mechanical Manager of any needs for replacement,
restocking or repair of items Manage and maintain good working
relationships with on-site contractors and vendors Perform other
job-related duties as assigned Requirements: What You Will Bring to
The Role A High school diploma or equivalent A minimum of two (2)
years of professional experience in similar field and/or completion
of approved vocational training at recognized technical school
and/or “hands-on” experience with the maintenance and repair of
industrial electrical and mechanical systems in mission-critical
facilities to include; emergency generators (Generators, Fuel
Delivery systems and Parallel Switchgear), electrical distribution
(MV/LV switchgear and associated controls), critical and essential
PDUs, UPS, switchgear, HVAC, air handling units, computer grade
cooling systems, and building monitoring/controls systems
Familiarity with CMMS (Critical Maintenance Management System) Able
to operate Manlifts and/or Forklifts Demonstrate knowledge in
operating, maintaining, repairing, and inspecting electrical
distribution systems, HVAC systems and building
management/automation equipment Ability to read building blueprints
and understand electrical/mechanical single lines and schematics
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures
related to mechanical & electrical systems needed to run data
centers Basic PC skills and the ability to learn company-specific
software Ability to routinely perform off-hour duties including
evenings, weekends, and holidays and to be available and respond
accordingly during these periods when so assigned Must possess a
valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle Good
verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to
follow written and verbal direction Strong interpersonal skills to
effectively interact with tenants, suppliers, and other technicians
Ability to develop troubleshooting and analytical skills Work under
limited supervision, both independently and within a team Must be
able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance Our Ideal Candidate
Will Also Possess Vocational training preferred (Electrical /
Mechanical / Controls) CFC certificate and apprentice license
