Sign-on bonus: $Schedule: 8 hours day shift: Monday-Thursday, 7:00AM-7:00PM, Friday 7:00AM-5:30PM and one Saturday a month, 8:00AM-1:00PM. Hospital: Board certified, MD State license or sitting for the board within 1 month of graduating in a accredited program. Responsibilities Provide mammography imaging services.
Operate equipment and performs various mammography related procedures.
Explain procedures and educate patient about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
Develop and evaluate the film for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion.
Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
Ensure equipment is properly functioning.
Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area, and any other areas in department.
Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. General Radiography is also required in addition to any specialty.
