Job Description Job Description Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1 year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Cath Lab Tech skilled in a wide range of cardiac procedures, ready to contribute expertise in a high-volume, advanced cardiac catheterization lab. The position offers a 13-week contract with a schedule of four 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, including 2-3 on-call shifts per week and 1-2 call weekends in a six-week rotation. This role requires a candidate with strong technical skills and certifications who thrives in a dynamic clinical environment. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Certification: RCIS or ARRT required; if ARRT certified, must hold a valid state license (Virginia temporary process accepted) Current BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory Proven experience with Left Heart Catheterization (LHC), LHC PCI, Right Heart Catheterization (RHC), Peripherals, IMPELLA, Balloon Pump, and Rotablader procedures Competence in scrubbing, monitoring, EKG setup, and cardiac cath lab procedures such as balloon angioplasty, PCI, stents, thrombectomy, and electrophysiology procedures including cardioversion Ability to obtain vitals, perform 12-lead EKGs, and recognize rhythm interpretations Additional skills preferred: circulation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, Watchman procedures, septal closure, ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator device placement, and familiarity with EPIC system Responsibilities: Assist with a daily caseload of approximately 25-30 complex cardiac procedures across four cath labs Support multidisciplinary teams during coronary angiograms, PCI, CTOs, peripherally-based interventions, electrophysiology studies, TAVRs, MitraClips, Watchman/Amulet devices, and mitral valve procedures Maintain sterile field and proper documentation while adhering to safety protocols Location Overview:Situated in Arlington, VA, the surrounding area combines urban convenience with cultural richness and proximity to Washington, D.C.
