Job Description:
MedStar Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate
Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Oncology department, serving the
D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region. This position offers the opportunity
to work alongside top healthcare professionals in a patient-first
environment committed to innovative cancer care and treatment. The
chosen candidate will play a crucial role in providing direct
nursing care to oncology patients, managing chemotherapy
treatments, and supporting both the physical and emotional needs of
patients and their families. Provide direct nursing care and
support to oncology patients. Administer chemotherapy and other
medications, under physician supervision. Monitor patient reactions
and progress, updating treatment plans as needed. Collaborate with
a multidisciplinary team to tailor individual care plans. Educate
patients and their families about treatment processes and cancer
management. Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to
healthcare regulations. Strong clinical skills in oncology nursing
Proficiency in administering chemotherapy Excellent communication
and empathy Ability to work collaboratively in a high-stress
environment Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the
state of Maryland or multi-state privilege Oncology Certified Nurse
(OCN) preferred
