This travel nurse assignment for an ICU/IMC Float RN provides critical care to adult and geriatric patients across ICU, IMC, ED, and Med-Surg units. Ideal for experienced ICU Registered Nurses, Critical Care RNs, and travel nurses seeking a supportive environment close to the Washington, D.C. area. /n/nJob Details/n /n - Location: Clinton, MD 20735 — Maryland travel nursing position near Washington, D.C./n - Assignment Length: 13 weeks/n - Start Date: March 23, 2026/n - Shift: 3 x 12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30) — Night shift / Critical care RN role/n - Hours per Week: 36/n - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,770 - $1,860 per week/n - Setting: ICU/IMC Float covering ICU, IMC, ED, and Med-Surg as needed/n - Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) per 6-week period/n - Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics/n - Charting System: Cerner (experience preferred)/n /n/nRequirements / Qualifications/n /n - Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience — critical care RN experience required/n - Active RN license in Maryland or compact state/n - Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS/n - MS/Telemetry and cardiac telemetry experience required/n - Must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam (minimum 80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms)/n - First-time travel nurses welcome — great opportunity for new travel RNs/n - Ability to float between ICU, ED, IMC, and Med-Surg units as needed/n - Experience with Cerner electronic health record preferred/n - Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)/n /n/nKey Responsibilities/n /n - Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in ICU and IMC settings/n - Float across ICU, IMC, Emergency Department, and Med-Surg units based on patient needs/n - Monitor, interpret, and manage cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias (cardiac telemetry)/n - Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and provide ventilator and tracheostomy care/n - Perform wound care, manage feeding tubes, and care for patients with central and peripheral lines/n - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services/n - Participate in rapid response and code teams; provide post-cardiac procedure care/n - Document patient care accurately in Cerner and maintain compliance with charting standards/n - Adhere to infection control and isolation precautions at all times/n /n/n Why join this travel nurse assignment?
