Setting: Hospital Coverage Needed: 1–2 weeks per month Schedule
Overview: Clinic (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM): May 11–15 June 8–12 June
22–26 Night Call (3:30 PM – 7:00 AM): May 11, 13, 15 June 8, 11
June 22, 24, 26 24-Hour Call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM): May 16–17 June
27–28 Requirements Job Description: We are seeking a Locum
Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide a mix of clinic, surgical
procedures, and call coverage in York, PA. This role offers
exposure to a high-acuity patient population in a busy hospital
setting, working alongside a collaborative care team. Key
Responsibilities: Perform cardiothoracic surgical procedures
(approx. 9 cases/week) Conduct daily rounding and manage inpatient
care Participate in clinic (1 day/week; includes structural heart
clinic on Fridays) Provide night and 24-hour call coverage as
scheduled Collaborate with APPs and multidisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC Practice & Facility
Details: Hospital Bed Size: 596 beds Support Staff: APP onsite EMR:
EPIC Department Workflow: Morning rounds starting at 7:00 AM Clinic
from ~9:00 AM – 2:30 PM Afternoon rounding; typical day ends ~3:30
PM Specialty Exposure: TAVR procedures (Tuesdays), urgent surgical
cases Requirements: Board Certification: BC/BE in Cardiothoracic
Surgery Licensure: Active PA license required DEA: Required
Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred Credentialing: ~90 days;
temporary privileges available with clean file Additional
