Job Description:
The AWS Health & Safety team is building a centralized program
management capability designed to support scalable, sustainable
safety programs across multiple business functions. We are seeking
experienced Senior Program Managers to join a growing team
responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling
enterprise-level safety and operational programs. This role is part
of a multi-workstream program team responsible for delivering
high-impact programs that improve operational consistency,
strengthen compliance, and drive continuous improvement across AWS
environments. Senior Program Managers hired into this role will be
assigned to strategic focus areas based on business priorities and
individual strengths. Key job responsibilities Key responsibilities
include: • Own end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional
programs • Design and implement scalable mechanisms that support
operational safety, compliance, and standardization • Partner with
stakeholders to define program requirements, timelines, and success
metrics • Identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities using
structured problem-solving • Develop standardized workflows,
reporting mechanisms, and governance models • Drive program rollout
readiness and ensure sustained adoption • Manage dependencies
across multiple initiatives • Provide clear program visibility
through structured reporting • Support continuous evolution of
programs to meet changing business needs A day in the life A
typical day in this role blends strategic planning, operational
execution, and stakeholder engagement. You may begin the day
reviewing dashboards or program health indicators to assess
progress against key milestones, identify emerging risks, and
prioritize work across active initiatives. From there, you might
facilitate working sessions with cross-functional stakeholders to
align on program requirements or remove execution barriers.
Throughout the day, you will balance building new mechanisms with
sustaining existing programs. This may include developing
standardized workflows, refining documentation, coordinating
implementation activities, or analyzing operational feedback to
improve program performance. Some days will focus on launching new
initiatives, such as piloting a new process or rolling out
standardized programs across teams. Other days may focus on
strengthening governance, improving reporting accuracy, or
resolving program risks. Regular engagement with partners across
safety, operations, compliance, and leadership teams is expected

of program or project management experience - Experience using data
and metrics to determine and drive improvements - Bachelor's degree
in business, operations, human resources, adult education,
organizational development, instructional design or related field -
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and
communicating results to senior leadership - 2 years of driving
process improvements experience - Master's degree, or MBA in

this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include
sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final
compensation will be determined based on factors including
experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers
