Job Description:
Join US Foods, a leading distributor in the foodservice
industry, as a CDL Class A Local Driver and play a crucial role in
our mission to deliver high-quality food products to a wide network
of restaurants and foodservice operators. This position requires
handling deliveries with precision and care, ensuring that products
are transported safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be
responsible for the timely transport of goods while adhering to all
safety regulations and maintaining excellent customer relations.
Safely operate a tractor-trailer/truck to deliver products to
customers according to the delivery schedule. Inspect the vehicle
for safety issues prior to departure and maintain a clean,
sanitary, and safe vehicle. Manage routes and routines to proceed
in the most efficient way possible. Handle documentation pertaining
to transport like bills of lading and delivery tickets. Interact
professionally with customers and the public while delivering
products. Adhere to company operating policies and procedures.
Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to
the vehicles. Proficiency in operating a CDL Class A vehicle Strong
time management and customer service skills Basic knowledge of
vehicle maintenance and ability to report faults Excellent
