What Can You Expect From ALPLA Health and Wellness Care Program- Benefits Child Care Benefits Dependent Care Cost Savings Program Recognition programs; Promotional opportunities 401K Retirement Plan and excellent Matching Plan Medical, dental, vision plan Education assistance program/tuition reimbursement Short term, long term and life insurance paid by ALPLA Paid vacation; paid holidays Availability to work Nights What You Will Enjoy Doing Main Responsibilities: Main Responsibilities: Following shipment procedures Ensures all shipment procedures are followed in accordance to customer requirements Ensures all Forklift Operators are trained in procedures and follow them Delegation and Coordination Ensures all Forklift Operators know their work responsibilities Proper Training of new hires in o Areas of inventory knowledge o Inventory locations o Dock and Fork Lift/Clamp Truck Operations o Safety o Warehouse policies and procedures Communication between other Warehouse Team Leads o Provides written and verbal communication to other team leads to provide coordinated efforts for highest department efficiency Preparing finished product to ship to customer o Adheres to performance standards in quality and quantity (Checking for damages as well as count) o Prints Bills of Lading Ensures good housekeeping within the warehouse Others as needed o Must be able to drive yard tractor so as to move trailers to dock What Makes You Great Performance Measurements: Following procedures Accidents Reports Correct Shipment (correct quantity/right time) Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience in general warehousing, manufacturing or distribution Min 2 years of experience as Forklift Operator preferred Certified Forklift Operator Additional Requirements: Computer skills Lead skills Safety awareness and quality consciousness Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
