be more with us! Job Summary: The Space Operations Trainer will
serve as a subject matter expert developing, facilitating, and
delivering space training to both the operational staff and
supporting staff of the NRO Operations Center (NOC) to ensure
operational readiness across the organization. This position
directly supports the NOC and contributes to advancing the Space
Warfighting Mission through coordination, analysis, and
lessons-learned implementation. The successful candidate will
operate within a dynamic, high-tempo environment, supporting a team
of Government and Contractor professionals responsible for
monitoring, analyzing, assessing, and delivering mission status,
courses of action (COAs), anomaly investigations, and
decision-support information to senior decision-makers. Key
Responsibilities: - Work full time at a customer site - Perform
periodic training material reviews for both operational and support
training products - Schedule, lead formal and informal classroom
instruction for all organizational divisions - Lead training
meetings, attend ops update briefings, exercise, strategic planning
meetings, and tool demonstrations, sharing SME knowledge & system
expertise - Offer hands-on system training for operators upon
request - Maintain system proficiency in operational systems
operated under the contract portfolio - Author training
documentation and builds visual aids with step-by-step
instructions, capturing system screenshots with supporting
annotations - Familiarize self and training team members with
developing system tools, updates relevant job aids, checklists and
training reference material - Assist in system integration and
development efforts as SME and user resource Qualifications: -
Education: Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant
experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior
related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of
prior related experience. - Clearance Requirement: Active Top
Secret/SCI clearance with CI Poly - Minimum Skills Required: - 3
years space operations and/or experience using NRO on-orbit space
systems tools tools, STK, and threat determination analysis tools -
3 years Training or related space system tools instructing
experience - Completion of an accredited basic instructor course -
Excellent oral & written communication skills - Preferred Skills: -
Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to collaborate
with external partners to determine the root cause of spacecraft
and ground system anomalies. - Ability to make critical decisions
in high-pressure environments. - Strong verbal and written
communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Willingness and ability to support a 24/7 environment with shift
work. Work environment: Occasional travel may be required for
training and collaboration with teams. Work Schedule: This is a
full-time position, typically working 40 hours per week. Overtime
