Our client is focused on delivering National Defense capabilities
by driving mission-focused strategies to develop advanced
technology systems enabling enduring products and solutions focused
on achieving the customer vision.We are seeking an Electrical
Technician to support the design, development, testing, and
implementation of novel undersea sensors. As an experienced
electrical technician, you will be expected to leverage your skills
to assemble, evaluate/test, and maintain small electrical systems.
Fine pitch soldiering experience is required, as circuit card
assemblies often require modification during design phases.
Experience with lab test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, impedance
analyzers, and function generators) is desired. You will provide
feedback to the design team to help improve the assembly and
maintenance of the systems, as well as aid in trouble shooting and
addressing any issues the system may encounter.
To be successful as an electrical technician, you should be able to
read electrical system design plans and recommend improvements, as
well as calibrate instruments, and diagnose faulty equipment.

Order, track, and maintain inventory of electrical supplies and
equipment.
Who you are:
- 2-year electrical, technical, or related degree, or equivalent
experience.
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience assembling,
maintaining, testing, and repairing prototype R&D systems
- Existing certifications relevant to creating hardware for
harsh/defense environments (e.g., IPC soldering) preferred. Expired
certifications acceptable, however, skill set must have been
applied within the last 2 years.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience interfacing and communicating with Engineers and
Scientists
- Familiarity with tools and parts used in assembly and test of
electronic hardware, including but not limited to:
o Solder, soldering irons, and crimp tools
o Connectors, wires, shrink sleeving, and epoxies
o Fault-testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, impedance
analyzers, and function generators
- Experience working with piezoelectric materials is preferred
